St. Tammany Parish Sheriff's Office Warrant Records

The St. Tammany Parish Sheriff's Office has two main locations. The Slidell office is at 300 Brownswitch Road, Slidell, LA 70458. Records phone is (985) 726-8000. The Covington office is at 701 N. Columbia St., Room B1010-2, Covington, LA 70433. Records phone is (985) 809-8200. Hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM at both locations.

Walk-in requests are accepted at the Covington office at 701 N. Columbia Street. Bring a valid photo ID. Have the full legal name to search, date of birth, and Social Security Number ready for in-person checks. The office processes requests per the Public Records Fee Schedule posted on their site.

Online Warrant Records Search in St. Tammany Parish

The St. Tammany Parish Sheriff's Office has a Public Records Center on its warrant records website. Visit the Criminal Records Division page to access it. From there, you can click the link to request a record through the Public Records Center. You can search by name, date of birth, or case number.

The system lets you create an account, specify what records you need (including warrant information), pay any applicable fees, and receive records by email or pickup. The Criminal Records Department website states that you can request records through the Public Records Center online. St. Tammany Parish Clerk of Court Warrant Records

The St. Tammany Parish Clerk of Court is at 701 N. Columbia Street, Covington, LA 70433. Records phone is (985) 809-8700. Hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM. Public access terminals are accessible at the Justice Center.

The clerk's criminal department lets the public research and get copies of criminal records. According to the clerk's office, available records include misdemeanors, felonies, juvenile cases, non-support cases, traffic violation records for adults and juveniles, criminal defendant histories, criminal background sheets, and criminal and civil warrant appeals. Cases sealed by the court or by operation of law are not available to the public.

The clerk also offers an Odyssey WebROA portal for online access, though it requires a subscription. Copy fees are $1 per page. Certified copies cost $5 per document plus $1 per page. Criminal minutes certified copies are $10 per copy per docket number. These fees are set under La. R.S. 44:1 and related statutes.

Warrant Types in St. Tammany Parish

The 22nd Judicial District Court issues arrest warrants, bench warrants, and search warrants in St. Tammany Parish. Arrest warrants get issued when a judge finds probable cause under La. C.Cr.P. Art. 202. The sheriff's office then serves the warrant.
